    Just a hunch: as the code calls set_kbc_ps2_mode(), maybe it is only needed
    for specific boards and not always for this chip?

    Can't find a _PRT ACPI method for this in your code. Maybe it's worth to
    check if the original firmware had (a non-standard) one.
