Patch Set 1:

This is not related to "recent systems" but instead to some GNU/Linux and unix distributions that chose to move the binaries to /usr/bin

That is something else.

    /bin → /usr/bin
/sbin → /usr/sbin
/lib → /usr/lib
/lib64 → /usr/lib64
