Gerrit update to 2.14
by Patrick Georgi June 1, 2017

June 1, 2017

Hi everybody, I just updated Gerrit to 2.14, which brings some notable and user-visible changes that you might want to deal with: * There's a new UI based on Polymer. This will eventually replace the current GWT based UI but isn't complete yet. There's a "new/old UI" toggle near the end of the page. * There's an assignee field now. This can denote responsibility (but comes with no rights or obligations) * Emails now ship with an HTML part. This can be disabled in your user settings. * speaking of emails: They changed the template format for the emails, so now we could finally develop a new structure for gerrit's notification, something people want for a long time but which I postponed to wait for precisely this transition. * speaking of emails, pt 2: There's now limited support for accepting comments to changes in email replies. I'd need to enable it to work, but I hereby want to gauge interest in such a feature. Feedback welcome! Thanks, Patrick -- Google Germany GmbH, ABC-Str. 19, 20354 Hamburg Registergericht und -nummer: Hamburg, HRB 86891, Sitz der Gesellschaft: Hamburg Geschäftsführer: Matthew Scott Sucherman, Paul Terence Manicle

We *DO* have coreboot lanyards this year! https://drive.google.com/a/google.com/file/d/10_xsPK6JpZx8mRXtP3xkKz8TcfezW… We will be able to register people at the door if they show up, but they're going to be on their own for lunch, and they get no swag. So hopefully everyone that's coming is registered. Then I suppose once they arrive at the conference registration booth to get their lanyard, they'll be told hat they haven't paid yet and that they can pay now in cash (and credit cards?). Good. Two reasons here: [1] The email delivery is not reliable (very seldom reason, 0.00001%). [2] The list of attendees are not filled correctly, so for double checking Coreboot email list is used. ;-) What if somebody (who applied) does NOT belong to Coreboot list? ;-) Zoran On Thu, Jun 1, 2017 at 9:31 PM, Youness Alaoui < kakaroto(a)kakaroto.homelinux.net> wrote: > If you registered for the conference, and didn't receive the invoice > to pay the conference attendance fees, then let Martin know that you > didn't receive the invoice. If you registered for the conference, and didn't receive the invoice to pay the conference attendance fees, then let Martin know that you didn't receive the invoice. If you received it, then pay it and that's it. What are other (parallel) means of communications here??? So, let say, I did not get the email with the important notification, so I should let somebody know for something I do not know??? Denver conference
by Martin Roth June 1, 2017

Everyone who is attending the Denver conference should have gotten an invoice from the Software Freedom Conservancy, and an email about the conference from me. If you are planning on attending and have not received these emails, please let me know immediately so we can get you accounted for. Thanks. Martin
