Absolutely. The mechanism that lets you create your own patch is "make
diff" on the top level. It is called for every release, but not in
between. So whenever using the SVN version of SerialICE you also have to
use the SVN version of the coreboot tree or you will most likely run
into odd trouble.

I had hoped that we could get rid of the "serialice" machine type, but
except getting rid of another parameter it doesn't make a whole lot of
sense.
