There is "homebrew" package manager for OSX/MacOS, see here <a href="https://brew.sh/" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://brew.sh/</a><br>

They have latest flashrom <a href="https://formulae.brew.sh/formula/flashrom" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://formulae.brew.sh/formula/flashrom</a> <br>
among  a big list of other commandline stuff you might find useful.<br>
