well, going in and commenting out lots of stuff is generally the worst 
possible way to proceed; you should read our copious support 
documentation. 

Oh, wait, there is no documentation. Never mind ;-)

Please look at:

freebios2/targets/arima/hdama/Config.kernelimage.lb

This is a fallback-only image (no normal image) with a kernel as payload. 

This should be a model of how to build a via epia with only one bios 
image.
